DeLaval has received orders from the dairy programs at two higher education institutions for the supply of its innovative milking solutions. Canada’s University of Saskatchewan and New York’s Alfred State College have each opted for one DeLaval VMS™ (Voluntary Milking System) and numerous herd management solutions. The move further signifies university officials’ confidence in DeLaval – especially as technology plays a greater role in the development of the dairy industry.

Stockholm – 20/12/2011, DeLaval Voluntary Milking System VMSTM units can now be offered with ISO identification. The product which is based on several years of development and testing is in line with expected lifetime traceability legislation and will enable farmers to take advantage of the cost efficiency of the ISO identification system.

DeLaval Voluntary Milking System (VMS) is making waves across the U.S. Midwest with the first units in Iowa and Missouri fully operational. As more states open their doors to DeLaval VMS, the opportunity for producers to reduce the labor required for milking and make informed decisions about their herd’s health is becoming increasingly easier.

DeLaval recently wrapped up its 2011 Profound Productivity Tour schedule with the VMS Freedom to Choose Tour and the World Dairy Expo Tour. The company hosted a total of more than 70 visitors at dairy farms in the U.S. and Canada and showcased a wide variety of DeLaval milking solutions where herd sizes ranged from 60 to 8,000 cows. Both tours also included a day at some of the industry’s largest tradeshows in North America.

The Ivy League School will equip its new teaching dairy barn with DeLaval milking equipment and herd management solutions.
Stockholm, Sweden (October 17, 2011). DeLaval has sold it first VMS, Voluntary Milking System in Turkey. The Farm Sarp - is the first robotic milking farm in the country and they are aiming to be the Turkey’s most production efficient farm. “This is a significant step for DeLaval as we enter the Turkish market with VMS. We are very happy that Farm Sarp choose DeLaval as their supplier”, says Andrew Turner Regional President India, Middle East & Africa at DeLaval.
